Colima declares emergency by COVID-19
The Governor of Colima, José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez, today declared a state of emergency in the entity due to the coronavirus.
The declaration empowers to implement measures to safeguard the health of its inhabitants before COVID-19, such as isolation and quarantine of those infected, as well as the suspension or restriction of activities and classes.
The Special Session of the State Council for Civil Protection approved this afternoon the president’s request, after Yesterday Colima reported the first positive case from COVID-19 in a male patient, who came to the entity on March 13 after returning from a trip to Germany.
