Jalisco reports three more deaths from COVID-19

With this they add 312 cases in total in the entity.

Regarding the new deaths, the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) reported today the death of a 77-year-old man, a resident of La Barca, with a history of end-stage kidney disease, heart disease and obesity. The patient started with symptoms of respiratory disease on April 12; He was admitted to the Regional Hospital of La Barca of the SSJ where he died on the 19th.

The second death corresponds to a 76-year-old man, resident of Guadalajara, with a history of high blood pressure and sequelae of cerebrovascular disease, who started with symptoms on April 16 and was admitted to the General Regional Hospital 110 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS ). He passed away yesterday, April 24.

The third death is a 64-year-old man, a resident of Ocotlán, who started with respiratory symptoms on April 2. He was hospitalized in the General Hospital of Zone 6 of Ocotlán and later transferred to the Regional General Hospital 46 of the IMSS, where he died on April 24. The patient had a history of chronic kidney failure and diabetes mellitus.

The 23 accumulated deaths in Jalisco, by municipality of residence, correspond to Guadalajara (5), Zapopan (1), Tomatlán (2), El Grullo (1), Tonalá (1), Acatic (1), Puerto Vallarta (5) , Tequila (1), Tecolotlán (1), Tlajomulco (1), Ocotlán (2), Colotlán (1) and La Barca (1).

The rest of the municipalities have less than five.

The Secretariat assured that it requested the General Directorate of Epidemiology to change two confirmed cases that do not correspond to the residence initially reported: Teocuitatlán de Corona, for Zapotlán del Rey, and Tepatitlán for Mexico City.

19 cases of COVID-19 reported among health personnel

The SSJ reported that there are currently 19 positive cases of COVID-19 among health personnel.

Its contagion is associated with the care provided in medical units.

Of these, twelve correspond to residents of the municipality of Puerto Vallarta and seven to residents of the municipality of Ocotlán .

In all cases, risk contacts have been identified and are under home isolation.
